Pull Up Your Birth Chart

The first thing you’ll need is to pull up your birth chart.

You can do this for free using free software like Astro-Seek – which we’ll be using for this example.

However, you can use whatever astrology software you have access to.

An important note: you want to make sure that your chart is set to Whole Sign Houses. We’ll get to why that’s important in a minute.

Look for the “MC”

What you want to look for in your chart is the “MC” symbol – the astrological symbol for the Midheaven.

The Midheaven will always be in the uppermost part of the chart. While most people assume the Midheaven will always be in the 10th house, the reality is that it can be anywhere from the 7th house all the way to the 12th house when you’re using Whole Sign Houses.

As a traditional business astrologer, I find that the Midheaven is more accurate when it’s able to move outside of just the 10th House.
