Every successful solopreneur business has four foundations.
That may be surprising, considering that everywhere you turn, there seems to be a new strategy or platform to use.
But when it comes to what’s truly required to have a successful business as a solopreneur, there are only four things that you really need to have in place.
As a business astrologer, I’m here to help you uncomplicate your business so you can make more while doing less. Getting introduced to the foundations will help make the process of building your six-figure solopreneur business a lot more manageable.

Why Four Foundations?
In my experience as a freelancer, service provider, and coach, I’ve noticed that despite changing niches and industries, there were a few things that remained consistent to have in place. These essentials laid the groundwork for the rest of my business to be built on and to hit the ground running rather than waste time on what didn’t work.
And after working with other business owners, I realized that being a successful solopreneur isn’t about doing more, but less. So it’s important as a solopreneur to create the foundation of your successful solopreneur business now, not later.
The four foundations that I’m going to share with you are the same things that you’ll be focusing on when you’re just getting started, making your first $50K, and when you’re scaling to your next $100K and beyond.
So let’s get into the four foundations of a successful solopreneur business:
Business Model
The first foundation you need as a solopreneur is your business model.
Your business model creates the direction for the rest of your business.
Before you can create a business that generates the revenue you want, you have to plan for it. Choosing your business model as a solopreneur means considering what kind of life you want to live, and how you want your business to support that.
When you’re just getting started, it’s most important to get experience in a variety of money-making activities so that you can gather data to make decisions later.
But once you’ve done that and you’re working towards your next $100K, your business model dictates which decisions you need to prioritize making.
Once you know your business model, building the rest of your solopreneur business becomes easier.
Signature Offer
The second foundation you need as a solopreneur is a Signature Offer – and every successful solopreneur has one.
There are all different kinds of Signature Offers that you could create: a digital course, VIP Day, one-on-one coaching, group coaching, evergreen program. The list goes on. And for a lot of solopreneurs, this is where your creativity can really come through.
But what matters most isn’t the format of your Signature Offer, but whether or not it’s powerful enough to lead people through a transformation to their desired outcome.
As a simplicity coach, my specialty is helping my clients make their next $100K with just one Signature Offer in their product suite – no upsells, downsells, or backend offers needed.
Marketing Plan
The third foundation you need as a solopreneur is your marketing plan.
It’s not enough to just have offers – you have to get the word out about them. Your marketing plan gives direction on how you’ll go about attracting your ideal clients, letting them know about your Signature Offer, and inviting them to work with you.
Your marketing plan is the root of almost all of your actions in your solopreneur business. But getting this right is a big deal because this is where a lot of solopreneurs end up wasting time in busy work – simply because they don’t know how to create a marketing plan that works for them.
Being intentional about your marketing plan now ensures that your marketing assets can work for you longterm, making your marketing plan truly sustainable.
Selling Strategy
The fourth foundation you need as a solopreneur is your selling strategy.
When you have your business model, signature offer, and marketing plan in place, your selling strategy becomes easy. It’s congruent with what you’ve already put in place.
Your marketing plan and selling strategy go hand in hand because they both work to qualify your ideal clients and help them make a decision.
Having the right selling strategy in place allows you to have a successful solopreneur business that you can trust to generate revenue, whether you’re actively working or not.
