What does it take to create successful longform content?

There’s a strategy behind it, sure. But there’s also another part of the equation that can’t be ignored: the astrology behind it.

In this post, I’ll show you how to align the astrology and strategy behind longform content to ensure it can thrive long after you hit publish.

The Strategy Behind Longform Content

Content creation is the backbone of your business.

It’s how your audience will find you, follow you, and ultimately buy from you. And when it’s done right, all of these things can happen on autopilot.

But for that to happen, there needs to be a strategy in place.

How can content be a place for you to share your best ideas with your audience that motivates them to take action? How can you use it as a way to market your services and sell your offers?

By getting intentional with content creation instead of having it as another item on your to-do list, it can make all the difference for your business.

But if you’re struggling with figuring out what your content creation strategy should be, we need to dig into the wisdom of your birth chart.

The Astrology Behind Longform Content

Let’s get into the astrology of longform content.

Content creation itself is ruled by Mercury. It’s how we communicate our thoughts, ideas, and insights to the world and our communities.

But Mercury, as one of the two fastest moving planets in our solar system, is comfortable with shortform content.

Our work deserves to live on longer than a one-time post to the Instagram or Twitter feed – which is why longform content creation needs to be considered.

While content creation is Mercurial, longform content creation is deeply Saturnian.

This is the content format where those same ideas can live on for months and years after you originally post them rather than just a few days.

There’s a long game with longform content – you may not receive rewards from it today, or tomorrow, or even a year from now.

But committing to the devotion and discipline required to create it now will make space for success down the line.

How to Fuse Astrology With Strategy

So how do you combine the astrology and strategy of longform content in order for it to work for you?

Choose Your Primary Content Type

Firstly, you should focus on your primary content type.

Content is only one part of having a sustainable business, so stating here will help you direct where to put your efforts.

Are you best at writing? Blogging may be the right fit for you. If you operate best with speaking, then it could be a podcast. And if it’s creating video, then YouTube may be the platform for you to center.

Knowing your primary content type helps make the process of content creation so much easier.

Strategize Your Creation Process

When it comes to the actual process of creating content, there’s two avenues you can go down.

One path is creating content for your primary content type first, and then repurposing it onto shortform content platforms like Threads, Instagram, or TikTok.

The second path is to utilize shortform content platforms as a testing ground for your ideas. Whichever ones get the most traction – that’s what you create longer-form content on.

Both paths are great because they create intentionality around your creation process while making the most of both types of platforms and content.

Whichever route you choose, it’s important to be intentional with how you utilize both types of content platforms.

Utilize Your Mercury & Saturn Placements

And of course, you want to ensure that you utilize your own Mercury and Saturn placements in your content strategy.

A few things you want to consider:

What sign are these placements in? This can tell you a lot about the the best way for you to express your ideas, and how to build longevity for those ideas to work for you over time.

What houses are these placements in? This speaks to the topics that may be particularly potential for you to share – tailored to your niche, of course.

What element are these placements in? What are their modalities? This can point you in the direction of what energy your content should have.

What aspects are these placements having? The relationship these placements have with the other planets can tell you a lot about how to best share your ideas with your audience to achieve your goals of gaining followers, subscribers, and sales.

There are tons of ways to strategize how to make the content creation process work for you. But by bringing the astrology of your Mercury and Saturn placements into you, you can create longform content that works for you well after you hit publish.
