Looking at the major transits of the year, I’d say that the astrology of 2024 is bringing much-needed renewal.

There are a lot of planets changing signs, or retrograding back into previous signs to revisit old themes. Overall, this has the potential for a lot of new energy – particularly since most of the transits involve Cardinal signs, which are known for being the self-starter modality.

If you’ve been feeling stagnant or even defeated for the last few years, having the planets change things up will bring more renewed energy your way.

So what exactly is happening in the astrology of 2024?

Let’s dig into the main transits of the year, and how you can make the most of them as a business owner.

Pluto Enters Aquarius

Out of everything happening in the astrology of 2024, THIS is the transit to most look forward to.

On November 19th, Pluto will be moving into Aquarius.

That’s because Pluto – an outer planet – greatly influences us as a collective. As a traditional astrologer, I only really consider the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) at larger generational trends. And for business owners, this will shift our cultural point the most over the next few decades.

This isn’t the first time that Pluto is entering Aquarius – it already did so back in March 23- June 11, 2023. However, November 19th will begin the 19-year transit.

This transit is unusually long, lasting about 20 years. So as a business owner, you can look at this as a forecast for your next phase of business.

Jupiter in Gemini

It’s hard to play favorites, but this transit is my personal favorite for the astrology of 2024.

If you’ve been wanting to share your ideas and build your thought leadership, this is the transit to do it.

On May 25 at 11:15pm EST, Jupiter leaves Taurus and enters Gemini.

This transit will emphasize communication (particularly writing and speaking) and sharing major ideas.

Uranus will also be moving into Gemini next year in 2025, further expanding on what will occur during this transit. I love the way that Mikayla Rose writes about Uranus conjunct Jupiter:

…which will be a focused revolution on how we process information, who we seek information from, how we deem information credible etc.

There will be a Jupiter Retrograde on October 9 that will last until February 4, 2025, so be prepared.

Eclipse Season

The astrology of 2024 also holds transits that occur every year, which include eclipses.

The 4 eclipses of 2024 will occur in Aries, Pisces, and Libra.

The first Lunar Eclipse in Libra will occur on March 25.

On April 8, we have the second Solar Eclipse in Aries.

On September 17, we have our third Lunar Eclipse in Pisces.

And on October 2nd, our fourth and final Solar Eclipse in Libra will occur.

Retrogrades

Much like eclipses, planetary retrograde occurs every year – the astrology of 2024 being no exception.

Mercury Retrograde in Fire Signs

Mercury Retrogrades happen each year and are nothing to fear.

The first retrograde of 2024 is technically in January, carried over from 2023. However, the first Mercury Retrograde of the year occurs in Aries for most of April (April 1-25, specifically).

The second Mercury Retrograde of 2024 occurs in Virgo and Leo on August 5, until August 28.

The third and final Mercury Retrograde of the year starts on November 25 in Sagittarius. This Mercury Retrograde will continue into 2025.

With Mercury Retrograde, take into account that the pre and post-retrograde shadow period will also affect you.

Pluto in Aquarius & Capricorn

Even though Pluto enters Aquarius firmly this year, this won’t be the last time that we have Pluto in Capricorn this year.

Pluto will retrograde back into Capricorn on May 2nd and will remain there until October 11.

Saturn in Pisces

Saturn retrograde in Pisces on June 29th, where it will remain until November 15th.

Mars in Leo & Cancer

Mars will retrograde Leo back into Cancer on December 6th. This transit will last until February 2025.
