What is Saturn Retrograde?
So first of all, what exactly is a Saturn Retorgrade?
Retrogrades are a period of time during the year when a planet retrogrades, or moves abnormally from how it typically does.
Instead of moving forward as the planets typically do, retrograde causes the planets to pause and move backward.
Every planet except for the Sun and Moon retrograde during the year, usually multiple times a year. You can think of it as a natural part of that planet’s maintenance.
Demystifying Saturn
To understand how Saturn Retrograde can impact you and your business, it’s important to understand Saturn’s nature.
Saturn is the planet of karma, consequences, and long-term sustainability. Ruling over Capricorn and Aquarius, Saturn deals with delaying what is being called in for the betterment of your growth.
It has a reputation for being a harsh teacher, but in that, there’s the hope that you are encouraged to grow and evolve for your individual betterment.
In traditional astrology, Saturn is the furthest planet that can be seen by the natural eye. Therefore, it holds a lot of significance – especially since traditional astrology doesn’t typically use the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) in interpretations and rulership.
What to Expect During Saturn Retrograde
So what can you expect for your business during Saturn Retrograde?
Similar to Mercury Retrograde, Saturn retrograde happens multiple times a year. But since Saturn is a slower-moving planet, its retrograde lasts longer as well.
In 2024, Saturn will retrograde starting on June 29th until November 15th – lasting a total of 139 days.
How Your Business Can Thrive During Saturn Retrograde
What does your business need to have in place in order to not just survive, but thrive during Saturn Retrograde?
First of all, getting to know your personal Saturn placement is incredibly helpful.
Understanding Saturn’s nature can also be a great help for you. The frustration that people often have with Saturn comes from its nature to delay.
Think of it like this:
Saturn’s nature is to move slower, more intentionally, and spread out over a longer period of time. As such, it does best with matters that need time to develop and mature, like building the foundations of your business.
While retrogrades are generally a time for you to slow down and take stock of what actions you’ve done thus far, Saturn Retrograde is a great time to consider what is needed in order for your business to continue to grow optimally. It’s a good time to use the disruption and shake-up that retrograde energy provides, but channel it toward taking aligned action.
What part of your business have you been dragging your feet around? Has it been restructuring your signature offer? Have you gotten feedback on areas of your business where you could improve things like communication, systems, or structure?
